1.1 Cutomization Deployement:

1 Open SQL Server

Click Connect

Open Folder where


scripts are placed

1.2 Check User Control Access Status in Control Panel and Disable it:

1. Click Control Panel >


User Accounts.

Click Change user
Account Control
settings.

Slide down to Never
Notify.

Click OK and restart


your system before
proceeding to another
task.

1.3 Check Event Viewer:

Now verify if event viewer is opening and generating events properly.

1. Click Start > Event


Viewer.

2. Expand Windows Logs


> open application.

Here we can see that
event viewer generating
events properly.

1.4 Turn on Network Sharing and Turn off Windows Firewall:

1. Open Network &


Sharing Center.

2. Click Change advance


sharing settings.

3. Select Turn on network


discovery.

Click Save changes.

Click Cancel if network


discovery was already
turned on.

firewall on or off.

Turn off Windows


Firewall for Domain
Profile or Run gpupdate
in command prompt.

1.5 Verify TIME ZONE and equate Store time with Server:

time settings.

and match this time with

1.6 Create Async-Client user on Local Computer:

1. Go to Start > right click


My Computer > click
Manage.

and Groups > click
Users.

New User.. .

Enter Async-Client in
4. User Name and Full
name fields. Type User
for Async Service in
Description field. Type
password in Password
and Confirm Password
fields. Select Password
Never expires filed and
click Create, then click
Close.

> click User Rights

1.7 Enable Named Pipes and TCP/IP Protocol for this SQL Installation:

1. Click Start > SQL


Server Configuration
Manager.

2. Click SQL Server


Network Configuration
(32bit).

Click Protocols for

pipes and select
Enable.

Click Install.

Import SSL Certificates

1. Click Start > mmc.

2. Click File > Add or


Remove Snap-ins.

Give User Name.

Verify Installation
After completing POS installation with Administrator/Owner account logoff computer and Login again
with Store User Account perform following steps for verification of successful POS installation.

POS Database Backup Process


You have to login with Administrator/Owner account for POS backup & recovery.

1. Open SQL management


Studio.

Click Connect.

Right click on database


to take backup.

Go-to Tasks > Back Up..

Click Remove to remove
old path.

Click Add to add path


where the bakup will be
placed.

POS Database Restore Process

1. Open SQL
Management Studio.

Right Click Databases.

Select Restore
Database.

2. Click From device radio


button on Restore
Database Window.

Click corresponding
button to choose restore
path.

backup.bak

Click OK.
