information: in middle school and how that differs from elementary.
Discussed how teachers in middle school were only trained one half day
on the CICO method while elementary were two days.
Also, middle school teachers are less familiar with the RTI process.
Middle school is put at a disadvantage for the increased number of staff,
communication, and resources needed to increase fidelity.
Challenges include changing classes throughout the day and need for
strong foundation for the method to be successful.

your research topic
and study: This article describes the similarities and differences seen for CICO between
elementary and middle school. It relates to my study because it spoke to a lot
of the logistical issues that I have seen on a daily basis. Communication
between teachers can be challenging, especially since my students have four
content teachers and 6 specials teachers they seen on a weekly basis. Also, it is
difficult to assess the level and effectiveness of feedback between teachers and
students. This could be achieved through professional development but was
never trained in my district, especially with the high level of teacher
turnaround.
