SOMETHING SPECIAL NO LONGER CONFIDENTIAL

Context: Bunns Lane Car Park

Currently 185 Car Park Spaces 95% occupied by Commuters
Very badly maintained surface and access paths/steps
Additionally 44 spaces in the Undercroft
Air Pollution in the Undercroft is 150% above EU Maximum level
for NoX emissions!
Daws Lane Car park too many parking all day
Side roads around the Broadway too crowded
Step Free Access to cost 8.5m (with only 5m from DfT)
The dominant immediate character of the site is that of brutalist civic
infrastructure demonstrated by the motorway, railway and car park

21
THE GAME CHANGER!

22
23
Current Status:
IHG very positive about site potential
Barnet Council said timing was just right for
submission of scheme
Options Appraisal
Alternative could be PRS (Like Pentavia?)
Needs 350+ parking spaces
