Uses Chem Viscocrete is especially suitable for producing the following types of
concrete:
- the production of site mixed, ready-mix and pre-cast concrete
- in summer, or hot weather, for the production of concrete with extended
transportation or placing times
- concrete requiring retained workability for extended periods
- concrete with extremely high water-reducing capacity
- self-compacting concrete especially for where highly congested reinforcing
steel is encountered or for slim elements requiring a high standard of surface
finish.
- high performance / high strength concrete
Concrete mixed with Chem Viscocrete is extremely flowable whilst
retaining optimal cohesion and exhibiting high self-compacting properties.
High water reduction and excellent flowability have a positive influence on the
above mentioned applications.
Test Standards Chem Viscocrete complies with the requirements for concrete admixtures
Type HBV-VZ. Standard pr EN 934-2.

Application Details
Dosage Recommended dosage for fluid concrete and SCC: 1.0 - 2.5 % by weight of
cement. It is advisable to carry out trial mixes to establish the correct dosage.
Concrete Placing With the use of Chem Viscocrete , concrete of the highest quality can be
produced. The standard rules of good concreting practice (production as well
as placing) must also be observed when using Chem Viscocrete concrete.
Fresh concrete must be cured properly.
Cleaning Clean all equipment and tools with water immediately after use.
Remarks When accidental overdosing occurs (within reason), apart from retardation of
the initial set and increased bleeding, no detrimental effect will take place.
Chem Viscocrete is also used to produce flowing and self compacting
concrete (S.C.C.). For these, special mix designs are required.
Frozen Chem Viscocrete may be used after it has been slowly thawed at
room temperature and intensively mixed.
