BU SAP Project Guidelines

Standard Guidelines:

Students are requested to follow the project guidelines given below.

1. There are two parts in the project. The first part of the project will have to be done
by all the students across all project teams. The second part of the project will be
team specific and will have to be done by the project team to which it is assigned.

2. Part 1 of the project should get completed in 5-6 days by atleast 3rd Jan 2017. This
part of the project will have configuration document that needs to be done by
everyone to understand the transactions in SAP. You can take the help of project
guide to complete the first part of the project.

3. Part 2 of the project should be completed in 3 days which is team specific project
based on some business specific problem and should get completed by 6th Jan. You
must do this project through discussions with your team members. You should not
take the help of your project guide to arrive at solution for the problem specified for
this project. The solution should be an outcrop of your thought process and the
thought process of your team. However you can understand from your project guide
in following events.

a. If you have not understood the problem itself

b. If there are system issues

c. If transactions are not happening

d. If any master data issues are there

4. In case there is any delay in doing the Part 1 or the Part 2 of the project due to
some unavoidable circumstances, you should keep your project guide and your
project co-ordinator of your team and college intimated.

5. In any case you must complete the project by 7th Jan and submit the project report
with the topics mentioned below. A grace period of 2 days will be given to submit
the project report if the faculty co-ordinator permits.

Students are expected to choose the topics of their specialisation and write atleast
5-15 lines about each of these topics. The sub topic list is also being given so that the
student sums up the topic exhaustively.

6. Each student must give his/her own interpretation of each of the above
topics covered. This part of the project they should do on their own.

7. In the second part of the project where a Business Problem is given, the
student should also put in the project his/her own views about the solution
which may or may not be the consensus of the team. This is required to
understand the thought process and the business problem solving skills.

8. The Faculty Co-ordinator should have the progress of the each student and
ensure that all of them complete the project on time.

9. Incase of any difficulty the student faces, the faculty co-ordinator and the
project lead ONLY should co-ordinate with the Project Guide to help resolve
the issue. This helps in avoiding confusions on every student calling the
project guide.

10. Everyone should use the same font size of font size 12 and type Times
New Roman"
