Brief Description of Learning Experience: Students will visit the classroom blog site. There they will find the
assignment under flipped classroom. Students will listen to my audio podcast and listen and get directions
for the assignment. In this flipped classroom assignment, students will watch a BrainPop video that
introduces them to polygons. The audio will instruct them and their parents to go on a scavenger hunt
outside and find as many different polygons as they can. Students will take notes and draw pictures of the
objects they find. Then they return to school on Monday students will share their findings and will create an
audio on the shapes and objects they found and also what they have learned about polygons. Audios can be
posted to the classroom blog site for other teachers and parents to view.

Student Engagement/Higher-Order Thinking: Students will be preforming on a LoTi level 4, because they are
creating something and then posting to a website to share their finding with others outside the classroom.

and will come away with a much deeper understanding

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: When posting students work to the classroom blogsite, we will have
to be cautious and make sure we do not display any information about the students (name, age, etc.)
