Licence Information
All awarded big game draw licences will be available through the automated licence system on the individual
hunter's HAL account beginning August 1. Licences are not mailed to successful applicants. Big game draw
applicants can check draw results on their online HAL account, a local ministry office or by calling 1-855-848-4773.
If you are selected for a draw licence, you will not be allowed to purchase a regular licence for the same species.
This applies even if you decide not to purchase the draw licence.

Hunting is allowed in wildlife management units (WMU) and national wildlife areas that are within a wildlife management zone (WMZ) that is listed as being open for big game. The
exception is Fort La Corne WMU and the St. Denis National Wildlife Research Area. Provincial parks not listed are closed to hunting.
