CELEBRATE A CENTURY OF LOVE WITH TEA AND AN EXCLUSIVE EXHIBIT

TOUR AT EDSEL & ELEANOR FORD HOUSE

GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich., This year marks the 100th anniversary of Eleanor
and Edsel Fords wedding day, and theres no better way to honor the occasion than
with tea in the lovely Ford House gardens. Ford House will be hosting A Century of
Love: Tea in the Garden from 3:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. on July 15 16, Aug. 12 13, and
Sept. 23 24. Tickets for this garden tea party are $35 dollars per person, and in
addition to the tea the event will include a private guided tour of Down the Aisle Ford
Houses latest exhibit.
The pristine nature of the Estate stems from the couple who turned this house into a
home. Eleanor and Edsel Ford shared a magnificent bond the two were truly the
definition of soulmates. The kindness and generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Ford opened the
door for all of us to celebrate and take part in their legacy, said Event and Group Sales
Director Donna Buchanan. The menu will include traditional tea sandwiches prepared
by the Cotswold Cafs own Chef David. Selection of sandwiches include:

Smoked salmon and cucumber finger with watercress butter and lemon poppy
seed bread
Goat cheese, candied walnut and roast pepper on a choux bun
Corned beef, wholegrain mustard and coleslaw on a herb potato and onion roll
Wild mushroom and puff pastry
Shrimp and herbed cheese on a scone
Featured desserts include:

Pecan Tart
Blueberry muffins
Chocolate eclairs
Caramel cheesecake

In addition, all selections will be served with iced tea and a choice of herbal teas.
Tickets must be reserved via the Ford House website (www.fordhouse.org). Space is
limited, so registration must be done as soon as possible to guarantee availability. This
event is by reservation only.

After the meal, guests will be treated to an exclusive guided tour of Down the Aisle: 100
Years of Ford Family Weddings in the historic south cottage. This exhibit features 14
Ford family wedding gowns as well as wedding pictures that span four generations.
Although it is always open to Ford House guests who walk the grounds and outer-
buildings, the chance to have a guided tour is only offered through this event.
