The Discover of New Planets

In understanding the concepts of science and space, there can be much discussion about

the undiscovered habitable planets and hundreds of unseen universes that make up the galaxy.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) published a press statement

concerned with the achievements associated with the successful mission launch of The Spitzer

Space Telescope. The Spitzer Space Telescope was founded after distinguished astrophysicist,

Lyman Spitzer Jr., who was considered to be a man of remarkable discipline, persistence and

politeness. For this reason, NASA decided to dedicate its most prized observatory to the

contributions made by Lyman Spitzer Jr. As a scientist and astronomer, Lyman Spitzer Jr. heavily

influenced many subfields of space intelligence such as stellar dynamics, plasma physics, space

astronomy and thermonuclear fusion. After pursuing and receiving degrees at institutions such as

Yale and Princeton, Spitzer further studied the details of interstellar dust grains as it related to the

presence of space and the magnetic fields the control the universal placement of solar systems.

Spitzer believed that by studying the evolution and motions of star constellations, he would be

able to generate possibilities of star formations within the galaxy.

Due to this scientific hypothesis, Lyman Spitzer Jr. was among one of the first

astronomers to concluded that bright stars had developed from the masses of dust and grains that

previously settled within the area. Over the last decade, the importance of telescopes can be

noted through their proficiency to reveal much well-defined images and chemical changes within

the condition of the atmospheric level. The Spitzer Space Telescope was designed with a purpose

of detecting and tracking a wide range of infrared wavelengths within the atmosphere(Sandberg,

2017). The dynamic experiences of the Spitzer Space Telescope are unmatched when compared

to any other telescope from the NASA Corporation. It was not until 2017 when the Spitzer Space

Telescope uncovered the existence of another system of planets with similar characteristics to

those of our solar system. This altered system of exoplanets are proportionate to the size of Earth

and orbit around a single star just like the planets in our solar system. Of the seven planets

discovered, it is highly likely that three will be considered as habitable zones with possible

preexisting life on its surface. The seven newfound planets are located about two hundred and

thirty-five miles away from Earth in a region known as the Constellation Aquarius. These planets

are however, located outside of our solar system so therefore, they are called exoplanets. This

exoplanet solar system is called TRAPPIST-1, or formally named after the Transiting Planets and

Planetesimals in Small Telescopes in Chile, South America(Chang, 2017). This breakthrough

discovery has proven to be very essential element in reexamining the initial mission launch that

had taken place at Cape Canaveral, Florida in 2003.

In regards to the hypothesis, it can be stated that there are several differences between the

data collected from the exoplanets system and the information from our solar system. The data

collected from the observatory concludes that all seven exoplanets maintain an orbit closer to

their star source than the calculated distance from Mercury to the Sun. For instance, if living

organisms inhabited these exoplanets, the organisms would have the ability of seeing geological

features, clouds and characteristics of neighboring worlds. According to Yeager( 2017), in

relation to the characteristics of the sun, the TRAPPIST-1 star should be classified as an ultra-

cool dwarf. In other words, planets orbiting close enough to the exoplanets have the capability

of conserving liquid water as a natural resource. The scientist responsible for examining the

exoplanets have discovered some similarities between our solar system and the exoplanet

system. Just like our solar system, the exoplanet system share a connection that is linked tidally

to their source of life and evolution. Being linked tidally means that the same side of the planet is

always facing the star, therefore each side is either perpetual day or night. In addition, it can be

concluded that the exoplanet system could experience variation of weather patterns similar to

those of Earth.

The Spitzer Space Telescope has redefined science through its pre-established scientific

intelligence that was focused mainly around the study of astrology and astronomy. The

discoveries made by the Spitzer Space Telescope have set the foreground for one of the most

controversial topics in science: Are We Alone? Scientists from many diverse regions and

generational backgrounds have struggled constantly while trying to find evidence to support their

claims of extraterrestrial life beyond our solar system. Without the research conducted by Lyman

Spitzer Jr., The National Aeronautics and Space Administration would not have made such

significant discoveries if it had not been for the advantages of intergalactic observatories.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the Spitzer Space Telescope has the power to investigate

organisms within our solar system and beyond the universe.

The fundamental techniques of The Spitzer Space Telescope have proven to be beneficial

to the study of space due to the vast amount of discoveries made over the last decade. The main

significance of examining telescopes for observational purposes is to measure and track the

presence of hydrogen-dominated atmospheres and gaseous chemicals entering the atmosphere.

The Spitzer Telescope was specialized in identifying the structure of infrared radiation as it

travels through wavelengths of lights. The Spitzer Telescope best suited the conditions for

examining the exoplanets under the constant projection of the Suns radiation. For this reason,

The Spitzer Space Telescope was uniquely positioned in its own orbit in order to observe the

complex construction of the exoplanet system. The mechanical and technical dimensions of the

Spitzer Space Telescope allowed many scientific engineers to focus directly on operational

missions in hopes of finding indications of extra-terrestrial life within space.
