As a teacher one has many goals and beliefs about education. I myself have included my

thoughts about the purpose of education as well as described the environment and curriculum

that support childrens learning. It is certain that teachers serve as role models; educators whom

have managed to create a more prosperous world.

The purpose of education is for children to become intellectual in all the fields that await

on the outside world. Inquiring into the Common Core, acknowledges the purpose of education

As the committee collaborated on these standards, they worked toward a common goal of

preparing American students for the future to compete in a global economy (Burns, et al. 2013,

p.6). In order to be competitive globally we must prepare students with the necessary skills--

competencies in subject areas. I believe that education helps everyone make wise choices in the

outside world, such as learning how to choose what is best or what not for our own purposes. We

educate children because they are our future. We want for children to succeed in life, becoming

successful citizens and making this world a better world.

For students, the best learning environment varies from children to children. A classroom

which promotes comprehension is the ideal setting. In my point of view, children learn best when

teachers provide a safe environment to their students. One should create a more open

environment to children making them feel like home. Also, providing a child with sufficient

resources for results of effective learning. By knowing that a child has walked into one's

classroom with the motivation and willingness to learn, the educator has successfully provided a

thriving learning environment. A successful learning environment derives from demonstrating

equality in the classroom. Equality plays a major role in a childs learning environment. I will

create an inclusive atmosphere where my students recognize and respect differences. Overall, I

will meet this effectively, thus obtain my goal of a learning environment for children to foresee

such equal opportunities which motivates them to succeed.

Social justice has played a major role on uniting and granting opportunities to diverse

societies. In other words, Hackman (2003) acknowledges social justice in her journal as social

justice does not merely examine difference or diversity but pays careful attention to the systems

of power and privilege that give rise to social inequality, and encourages students to critically

examine oppression on institutional, cultural, and individual levels in search of opportunities for

social action in the service of social Change. She introduces the following five tools for social

justice education: content mastery, tools for critical analysis, tools for social change, for personal

reflection, and an awareness of multicultural group dynamics have taken responsibility of

creating an equal learning society to all. The thought of creating a balance environmentno

pressure towards the studentensures equal access for comprehension; in other words,

developing a level driven criteria.

For effective quality education the teacher plans and constructs using the optimal

curriculum. Teachers apply inquiry, a process of questions which leads to more questions

enhancing greater knowledge in the classroom. Through an inquiry approach students generalize

more questions as they find solutions to information given for further understanding rather than

only gathering subject information. Stripling, asserts Also necessary for inquiry are

dispositions, responsibilities, and self-assessment or reflection (Stripling, 2008, p. 51).

Although, inquiry can be a challenging method, it leads one to a better understanding and a

development of a better curriculum. As a result, an ideal curriculum should be able to help

teachers create an end goal, enabling teachers manage any time constraints.

Teachers serve as role models not only when they teach students while they perform

their duties as doctors, but also when they fulfill their role as teachers in the classroom, whether

it is in the lecture theatre or the small discussion or tutorial group (Crosby, R. H. J., 2000,

pg.334-47). Excellent planner, enthusiastic, patience, and knowledgeable are a few of the

characteristics which name an excellent teacher. With that said an excellent teacher should know

how to plan their lesson plans effectively, modifying accordingly, changing methods of learning

for better

comprehensions through students responses and feedback. To be an excellent teacher I would

need to show enthusiasm in the class in order to receive the same comeback. Also, being patient

develops conformity from the students view which makes them feel like home. Furthermore, I

believe an excellent educator should have the knowledge of teaching diverse learners, complete

assessments, and classroom management.

By successfully mastering these goals as well as beliefs I have created a motivational tool

which will motivate all children to easily approach education. My goals and beliefs in education

will help me in my teaching field, creating a successful classroom in the field. After all, as role

models I can assure that we as educators serve children by adequately preparing them to

ease in life.
