Unplugged Activities for Hour of Code EY &/or Primary Division

CS Fundamentals Course 1 from Code.org

Heres what we think: This is a great resource for our young students to begin to code. There are lesson plans, worksheets, teacher videos, and
student videos. These videos are short and well worth the time for teachers to view. The worksheets are available in a PDF and require minimal
additional supplies. Programming does NOT always need to be done on a device, especially when you begin to teach your students coding and some
of the activities are unplugged. If you are teaching SK/Gr1/Gr2/Gr3 students these activities are the way to go.
There are 18 lessons/activities in Course 1. There are seven videos in Course 1 and in under 15 minutes you can get a great introduction to the
activities. As a teacher it is time well spent. When you open the main link (see below) you dont need to watch all seven videos at once. There is a
slider bar on the right hand side of the screen that allows you to pick the video you want to watch. That really is the easiest way to see them all or
individually. However if you just wanted to get to one part the individual URLs are included in a separate chart. There are several lessons that have
student videos as well. The CODE site is massive and the information is a bit scattered. We have brought them all together in this chart. As always,
if you have any suggestions as to what to add to our site or how to make it more user friendly please let us know.

This is just a series of outtakes from Kiki and it is not necessary to watch this one at all
Several of the videos have a second single You Tube link. They arent any different from the ones in the above series so it is not necessary to use
these links. We have included them here just in case you search for CODE videos and these pop up you will know they are part of the complete
series. As you can see the You Tube address is just shorter because they are not connected together in a series.
Here is the link for just Happy Maps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En6Bshuqljg
Here is the link just for The Big Event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PN8aPWZ2sY
Here is a chart with each You Tube URL but remember you dont need all these, just use the one in the chart above.
