Review of the past lesson
Motivation
The teacher will present a video clip highlighting the economy of the Philippines.
Afterwards, the teacher will ask the learners to what branches of economics does the
video clip falls under.

B. Instruction
Learning Activity 1: Lecture Discussion

The teacher will discuss about Economics, its 5 goals and its 2 main branches and how
they are being differentiated. Then, the teacher will provide sample situations through video clips
addressing the branches of economics.

Learning Activity 2: Think-Pair-Share Activity

The teacher will flash a question where learners are going to explain the goals and
policies of Economics. The learners are given 3 minutes to think on their own. Their seatmates
will serve as their partner for collaborations and brain storming. Afterwards, the teacher will let
the learners to share their ideas in the class.

C. Post Instruction

The teacher will ask the learners to give insights about the lesson learned.

What are the reasons why do we need to learn about our countrys economy?
How does the 2 branches of economics affect our countrys economic system?

The teacher will provide a 35-item quiz to the learners about the lesson of the day.
