Hepatic lobule portal lobule hepatic acinus

Hepatic lobule - draining area of the central vein; anatomical and morphological
unit
Portal lobule draining area of the bile duct; exocrine gland unit

49. Gallbladder (HE)
Histological layer of gallbladder:

1) Tunica mucosa
- Lamina epithelialis is simple columnar
epithelium with microvilli.
- Lamina propria consists of loose connective
tissue. Small tubulo-alveolar mucous
glands are present near the neck of
gallbladder.
/Mucous membrane is thrown into many folds,
which subdivide into other small folds./

2) Tunica muscularis
Its an irregular network smooth muscle fibers,
which are traversed by elastic fibers as
well as connective tissue septa.

3) Tunica serosa/adventitia
tunica serosa simple squamous epithelium
(mesothelium) and thin connective tissue
sublayer (lamina propria serosae).
tunica adventitia this region is not enveloped
by peritoneum, the outermost layer is
loose connective tissue.
