1. After reading out the story entitled The
Hens Egg ,teacher divides pupils into six Lyrics:
group.

2. Each group is given a mask template of

Had a little chicken
animal that can be found in the story
which are hen, goose, bird, ostrich and And she wouldn't lay an egg;
duck. So I poured hot water

3. Pupils need to colour the mask ,cut it Up and down her leg,
and attach a rubber band on both sides Oh, that little chicken cried
of the face. And that little chicken begged;
Then that silly little chicken laid
4. Teacher plays a song entitled I Had A
Little Chicken But It Would'nt Lay An A hard-boiled egg!
Egg.

5. Teacher writes the lyrics on the

blackboard and ask the pupils to sing it
together.

6. After that ,teacher ask the pupils to wear

the mask of the animals that they had
given.

Example of animal mask:

HEN
 DUCK
7. Teacher plays the song but this time the
teacher will point out a group and the
group need to come in front and they
need to change the lyric of the song with
the animals they are in charge in.

Example:

Group 1: Duck

Lyrics that have been changed:

Had a little duck

And she wouldn't lay an egg;
So I poured hot water
Up and down her leg,
Oh, that little duck cried
And that little duck begged;
Then that silly little duck laid
A hard-boiled egg
