Romeros Class Newsletter: February 20-24

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend! We are now ready for some fun
and learning!

This Tuesday Animal Connection comes for its 3rd visit. Last week, the
students had the opportunity to work with the dogs, either giving treats or
petting. They also were entertained with some tricks!

This week in literacy we will continue to work with vowel teams (combination
vowels). We will develop inflectional endings, as well as, past, present and
future verbs. We will also continue to develop RACE as part of reading
response journals.

In math this week, we will be working on double-digit subtraction.

We have PE every Monday and Wednesday! Please make sure your child
wears appropriate clothes and shoes on these days to participate in PE.

Every Monday, your childs conduct folder is due. A prize will be given to
those students who bring their conduct folders signed on Mondays only.
Self-Selection will not be given to those students who do not return their
signed conduct folder.

Every Friday, your childs Thursday folder and Homework folder are due! A
prize will be given to those students who bring their empty Thursday folder
and Homework folder (including agenda and spelling notebook) on Fridays
only.
