C1018
Description C1018 is a low carbon steel with a medium range manganese content. This is the
most common cold finish grade and is available in rounds squares and flats.
C1018 is easily welded and cold formed it also possesses good carburizing
properties and has good machinability.
C1018 is a relatively low strength steel and is suitable for low stress applications
that do not require the greater strength of higher carbon or alloy steels.
