Joshua Brown-Herrera has been an employee in my law office since 2008. Over the past eight
years, Joshua has made significant and meaningful contributions to this office in our quest to
advocate for the disabled. His hard work, attention to detail and enthusiasm have been
instrumental in the dynamic development of evidence and the overall function of my law
practice. His professional demeanor and affability with clients, attorneys, and coworkers has
contributed to a culture of cooperation and close-knit community within my office.

When Joshua first became part of my team, he was hired in the capacity of a part-time file
clerk. He quickly demonstrated his value as a team member by completing tasks timely and
efficiently and seeking additional work loads. He soon showed me that he has an innovative
spirit, and is able to offer perspectives and ideas that helped to make this office a more
productive environment. Joshua quickly has become an integral part of this office and its
function. We have all come to depend on his presence in the office to accomplish our goal of
zealous advocacy for my clients. Joshua has extensive knowledge related to technology and
how to use it in a manner that serves to make our office more efficient. Joshua spearheaded
our presence as electronic-filers with the State of California, and has stepped into the role as
electronic filing trainer for the entire staff, including myself. He has put together comprehensive
training programs that made complex operations within the State's Electronic Adjudication
Management System better understood by our team.

I have watched Joshua grow in his capacity as a hard working employee and student. While
he worked full-time for me, He also attended classes at Santa Rosa Junior College and
Sonoma State in pursuit of his degree and a career in education. While working this hectic
schedule of full-time employment and school, he never let these two demanding elements of
his life come into conflict with one another. He consistently showed up to work on time and with
a positive attitude, ready to tackle the challenges and demands of a busy law practice.

It is for the above reasons that I know Joshua will make an excellent addition to your school as
an educator and contributor to the educational community. He will undoubtedly serve
as a role model for both youth and adult colleagues. He will certainly be missed by myself,
my staff, and the clients we serve. It is with enthusiasm that I recommend him for this
position as a secondary science teacher. I expect he will meaningfully impact his students,
the community and educational co-workers and colleagues!
