PDP Professional Development Plan

Take some time to read through your MST/MCT report from last semester. Highlight (or take notes) on comments which identify points of
development. Choose two which you feel are especially important and write them in the table. Then decide which competency it is, what
you want to achieve in this area this semester and finally note how you will achieve this.

Competency Implementing Learning
Goal According to the feedback that I received from my MST, as mentioned above that my timing of the
lesson wasnt successful. This is because, I followed my MST classroom planning that was given to
me late that caused my lesson less time of preparation. In this semester, my aim and goal is to adapt
and enhance my time management skills in order to avoid any occurring confusions or
misbehaving.
Action Points Time management could be enhanced by the following:
1. Refer to my MSTs advisement regarding the lesson that will be applied (sharing the
activities that will be implemented and make actions towards her feedback).
2. Spend more time observing the students in order to know their levels and capabilities in
learning.
3. I will record the suggested time for each activity/phase of my lesson, and monitor the
accuracy of these timings during the lesson (and use this information for future planning)

MCT/ MST recommendation The lesson moved at quite a swift speed. Remember to listen to your students and keep pace with
them (rather than your lesson plan). A couple of times they had some great ideas which you
skimmed over.
Competency Implementing Learning
Goal According to the feedback that I received from my MCT, as mentioned above that my timing of the
lesson wasnt successful as a result of short period of time (30mins). In this semester, my goal is to
ensure that students are expressing their ideas and I am using my active listening skills as well as
ensure that they are not being pushed forward.
Action Points Time management/ Listening skills could be enhanced by the following:
1. Not be afraid to move away from my lesson plan when students require more time to
express ideas and opinions.
2. Give appropriate time for students to share their expressions and opinions.
3. Use my active listening skills by looking at the student speaking and rephrasing what they
said for clarification.
