Explain to the child that the word “water” starts with the
letter “W” and sounds like — “W” (make the sound it makes).
Using your finger, trace over the letter below to demonstrate
how it is written. Discuss how all living things must have water
to survive. Have the child trace over the letter and then color
the picture.
