Roles and Responsibilities of The Team

Roles Responsibilities
Curriculum and Instructional Specialist Ensure teachers are following curriculum up
to state standards and are utilizing various
classroom management techniques
Counselor and School Climate team Ensuring that teachers are instructing at
grade level and assist in relationship building
between teacher and student
Special Education Heads/Professionals Ensure teachers are following IEP
modifications and accommodations for
specific students.
Lead Teachers Mentor Role: Peer observation/feedback,
Peer Coaching, Peer Support.
Administrators Point Person Head of Team
Evaluation Procedures
Administration performs initial evaluation and identifies areas
of strengths and areas of improvement

The areas that are identified as in need of improvement will


receive intensive intervention from members of the SD team
based on their roles and responsibilities.

Teachers will be required to observe Lead teacher/Mentor


Teacher classes.

Mentor teachers will observe teacher and provide feedback in


the areas of improvement and instructional strategies to
support these areas.

Lastly, teachers will need to write a written reflection of the


professional development they attended and how they will
utilize what they learned in the classroom.

Administration performs a follow up evaluation to determine if


progress has been made in areas of improvement

Once teachers have reached the proficient to distinguished


levels on all four domain then the teacher can move from a
two year evaluation schedule to a four year.
