Admin2016The speedy industrialization during the 21st

century caused in the startup of worldwide companies

crossways the earth. The figures stated in September 2015 by
the Financial Times states that ninety percent of high level
positions are taken by males averagely in all corporations.
Though, persons faith that women should be equipped to take
over this positions, I disprove that some ratio of uppermost
level jobs to be kept for women.Initially, a company can
anticipate a tragic failure in case a few top level decision
verves astray, particularly if the judgment involves a huge
amount of money. For example, a finance firm by the name
ABC established in Germany went insolvent in second quarter
of 2014 due to a wrong decision by its leader, who was
endorsed to that position based on reservation. Besides, the
board of management need to examine the top positions with
great care based on their advantages, regardless of gender.
Hence, it is clear that the highest positions ought not to fall
under the booking policy.
Moreover, ignoring an able person to occupy a new position
points to discrimination and causes lack of enthusiasm
among the employees. For instance, if a person is merely
promoted to upper post, leaving behind the skilled
colleagues, high chances are that the coworkers, who believe
the decision is not just, wont work efficiently to their ability.
The result is loss in the productivity of the organization. Thus,
the top positions should never be earmarked based on
masculinity of femininity.
In conclusion, by investigating how arrangement can lead to
deprived decisions as well as bring reduction in productivity,
reservation shouldnt be in place for top jobs. Governments
should make certain that they give sufficient focus to enable
women and head positions should be occupied based on
merit regardless of anything else.

Fact shows that most high level jobs are done by men. In this
area which promotes widely gender equality, this fact triggers
a sneaking suspicion that gender discrimination still prevails.
As a result, the government is demanded to encourage a
certain percentage of high level jobs to be reserved for
women. In my opinion, such a demand isnt necessary, based
on following reasons.
Firstly, the most important qualification to employ a worker in
a high level job is professionalism, not gender, since high
level jobs require high performance and integrity. Reserving a
certain percentage of these jobs for a particular group simply
on the basis of gender-related issues can result in what is
popularly described as the wrong person in the wrong
place: placing workers in specific jobs just because of their
gender, not their real competence.

Secondly, employment should be based on fair competition,

not on special favor to any particular group of society. People
from both genders should be given equal opportunity to
compete fairly with each others to get the jobs. Giving special
favor to a particular group to occupy a certain percentage of
high level jobs can mean unfair treatment to those who in fact
really deserve the jobs but are eliminated in the process.

Thirdly, many women give up high positions because they

need more time for their family. Though very promising, high
positions are also very demanding and time consuming.
Responding to their maternal instincts, many women choose
to devote a substantial amount of their time to their children
and family, and not to pursue high positions for fear that such
positions will take up their time considerably. As a result, the
number of women pursuing high positions is in sharp
contrast to the number of their male counterparts. In this
context, as clearly seen, gender discrimination has nothing to
do.

In conclusion, the government doesnt have to satisfy the

demand to reserve a certain percentage of high level jobs for
women. Giving special favor in job fields to a particular group
can give bad names to professionalism and fair competition.
In the long run, such a favor can result in corporate
mismanagement and subsequent failure.

Gender equality triggers heated debate now and then. In my

country, India, Some basic reservations have been equally
segregated considering welfare of females. Men are holding
higher positions in most of the jobs while women are still
finding their feet on that front. Should our government
allocate quota with regards to women empowerment?. I
believe, all over the world, we already have a fair system
without any biases.

Admittedly, men holds numerous high profile jobs because of

certain reasons. Firstly, military officer position, physically as
well as mentally is a demanding job that needs a person with
a strong physiology and high intellects, but naturally body
mass composition of women are lower compared to a average
man. As a result, men dominate this sector. Secondly, women
are relinquishing their career before climbing up the ladder to
higher positions due to their maternal responsibilities as well
as to look after their children.

However, my government already has enough reservations for

women. In my country, 33% reservation for women has been
allocated throughout all government sectors where they can
compete within that reservation or else compete in a general
quota. Moreover, there have been no legislation which
restricts females being selected for high profile jobs. We have
our fair selection system that does not favor any side, instead
it picks the well-qualified person. Unfortunately, majority of
men are being selected due to their natural competency
overshadowing their female counterpart.

After stating some of the key factors that are required to be in

a most important job, I would like to conclude by reiterating
that there should not be any favoritism or reservations based
on gender. Reservation system as a whole brings setback for
the most deserved ones.
