aquellos balbuceos del pasado (The Real Jesus. The Misguided Quest for the
Historical Jesus and the Truth of the Traditional Gospels, HarperSanFrancisco , San
Francisco 1997, p. 143.

Jesus? [Philadelphia 1970]): rebelde poltico (S. G. F. Brandon,Jesus and the
Zealots. A Study ofthe political Factor in Primitive Christianity [New York
1967]), reformador campesino (J. H. Yoder, The Politics of Jesus: Vicit Agnus
Noster[Grand Rapids 1973]), piadoso taumaturgo (M. Wilcox, "Jesus In the Light of His
Jewish Environment": ANRW II 25 (1984) 131-195), o rabino galileo (B. Chilton,
'A Galilean Rabbi and His Bible. Jesus' Use of the Interpreted Scripture of His
Time[Wilmington 1984]); profeta apocaltico (B. O. Ehrman, Jesus. Apocalyptic
Prophet ofthe New Millenium [Oxford 1999], apocalptico no sectario (K.
Schubert, Jesus im Lichte der Religionsgeschichte des Judentums [Wien-Mnchen
1973]) o milenarista asctico (O. C. Allison,Jesus of Nazareth. Millenarian Pro-
phet[ Minneapolis 1989]; fariseo ortodoxo (H. Leroy, Jesus [Darmstadt

o carismtico (G. Vermes, Jess el judo [Barcelona 1977]; Jesus and the World of
Judaism [Philadelphia 1984); fariseo hillelita (H. Falk, Jesus the Pharisee. A New Look
at the Jewishness of Jesus [New York 1985]) o maestro carismtico y marginal (G. S.
Sloyan, Jesus n Focus. A Life in its Setting [Mystic 1983], campesino judo y
predicador cnico (J. D. Crossan, The Historical Jesus. The Life of a Mediterranean
Jewish Peasant [San Francisco 1991]); profeta escatolgico (E. P. Sanders, Jesus and

Jews. A Jewish Life and the Emergency of Christianity [New York 2000]) u hombre del
Espritu (M. J. Borg, Jesus, o. c.). Hace medio siglo ya ironizaba T. W. Manson: "By their
lives of Jesus ye shall know them" (''The Failure of Liberalism to Interpret the Bible as
the Word of God", en C.W. Dugmore (ed.), The Interpretation of the Bible [London
1944] 92). Cf. J.J.

Johnson, The Real
Jesus.
evangelios apcrifos, ver P. Jenkins, Hidden Gospels, Oxford University Press, Oxford
