Dear Dr./Mr/Ms./Mrs.Vishwakarma,
We are pleased to inform that you have been provisionally selected for the 77 th Orientation Course under the following
terms and conditions:
1 The confirmation of your participation must be received on the enclosed acceptance form duly forwarded by
the Head/Principal/Registrar by 10th May, 2017.
2 The Registration will be done from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m. on 15 th May, 2017 in the UGC-Human Resource
Development Centre, BHU.
3 Limited dormitory type chargeable accommodation is available on first come first serve basis for participant
only at the HRDC Transit Hostel Hall of Residence, A/7, Tyagraj Colony, located in the BHU campus close to
Balgangadhar Tilak Hostel adjacent to a small Hanuman Temple. Chargeable accommodation on sharing
basis may be available in other guest houses of BHU and have to bear at your own as per UGC guidelines.
4 Teachers working in universities and colleges that are included under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act,
even though they may not yet be fit to be included under Section 12(B) of UGC Act 1956, may
participate in the Orientation Programmes and Refresher Programmes. The teachers of colleges that
do not come within the purview of Section 12(B), but have been affiliated to a University for at least
two years, will be eligible to participate in the programmes/courses. However, they wont be paid
TA/DA and other allowances for attending these courses. In such cases, if the participants avail
facilities provided by the HRDC, BHU, they have to bear all expenses at their own cost.
5 For those outstation participants who are working in universities and colleges that are recognized under
Section 2 (f) and included under Section 12 (B) of UGC Act 1956 shall be reimbursed III AC railway fare or AC
Delux Bus fare from their place of posting to Varanasi and back through shortest route only after submitting
the original/electronic railway/bus tickets.
6 Participants are required to bring two passport-size photographs and laptop for using during the course.
7 The Course will be full time on every working day. The participants are required to attend all the sessions
strictly. No leave is permissible during the course.
8 Each participant has to deliver a seminar lecture of 10 minutes duration using Visual aids (Multimedia/power
point presentation). The seminar abstract in soft copy is required to be submitted within a week after
joining the course. Each participant has to submit a comprehensive report on the lectures delivered during the
course.
9 There shall be a written test which will be conducted during the last week of the course and the certificates
shall be graded according to their performance in seminar, test and attendance etc.
10 In case of any default on the part of the participant, the Director, UGC-Human Resource Development Centre,
BHU has all the rights to cancel the admission or withhold payment of TA/DA and the award of Certificate.
11 As per UGC rules, each participant is required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- as registration fee
(non - refundable) along with the acceptance form. The DD should be drawn in favour of Director, UGC-
Human Resource Development Centre, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi payable at State Bank of India,
BHU Main Branch (Code No.0211). Acceptance Letter without DD of Rs.1000/- will not be entertained.
12 Only those participants who will complete the course shall be eligible to receive the certificate of participation.
