Basic elements:
SAMR Model
Lesson Design
1. Create an outline, story board, or summary of your hunt idea(s). What will you use to create your lesson/hunt?
What are the themes or concepts? What do you hope the final product will look like? How will you assess, or how
will students show mastery
Students will use their knowledge of the Pythagorean theorem to solve the questions shown in the QR
code to discover the secret word. When class first starts the teacher will pass out a sheet of paper that
students will use to show their work for each equation and try to figure out the secret word. The QR codes
will be printed and numbered according to the order of the letter for the secret word. This way students
may go to whichever QR code they want after they read the first QR code that lists the rules of the
scavenger hunt. The goal is to figure what the secret word is while demonstrating his/her knowledge of
the Pythagorean theorem. Students who dont show their work will not be get a prize even if they have
guessed the secret word.
Please put your QR codes here with any additional information (IE worksheets with hunt, rubrics,
etc)
