PHILOSOPHY
I strive to create a classroom where students ask questions, take risks, and see mistakes as learning
opportunities. Respect and support are critical components of this objective. A classroom culture of mutual
respect is created by building rapport with students in order to better understand their academic, social, and
emotional needs. Students are expected to further contribute to a classroom of acceptance and understanding
by practicing courteous communication with their peers. As a teacher, I am committed to encouraging students
to expand their knowledge by thinking critically, actively participating in classroom discussion, and working
cooperatively with one another.
