Funds Allocations to the Province

During the last five years from 2007 to 2011, the funds provided under Criteria Based Grant (CBG) and Provincial Specific Development
Grant (PSDG) are shown in the graph below.

In 2007, allocation under the CBG and PSDG amounted to Rs.628 mn. Apart from 2007, there was a remarkable increase in the
allocations over the years. From the year 2008 onwards, average funds allocated per years was Rs.1289 mn. The funds for 2011 are lower
than previous three years. But to compensate, funds were provided in 2011 through major development projects viz: ESDP-WB, UNICEF,
UNFPA, ADB Road Projects, World Bank Road Projects, Rural Roads Development Projects (JICA) and Rural Water Supply Development
Project. (JICA) amounting to Rs.4264 mn.

The table given below shows that during the last five years, the highest portion from the Provincial Funds was utilized for health sector.
Education sector was the second and Road used third higher portion. Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock sectors were the other major
users of allocated funds.

achieve remarkable increase in agriculture productions and improvement Social Indicators
