Transcripts

Students who are deaf or hard of hearing can use transcripts of the recordings used in
the Listening, Speaking, and Writing sections of the tutorial. The transcripts can be
accessed from the course table of contents.

When using the transcripts, keep in mind the accommodations that students who are
deaf or hard of hearing can request when taking the actual test:

A. Listening section omitted. Here students take only the Reading, Speaking, and
Writing sections of the test. In the Speaking and Writing sections, audio content
is replaced with transcripts.

B. Listening and Speaking sections omitted. Here students take only the Reading
and Writing sections of the test. In the Writing section, audio content is replaced
with transcripts.

C. Oral Interpreter. Here students take the whole test. The audio content in the
Listening, Speaking, and Writing sections is read out from a script by an oral
interpreter. The student listens to the interpreter and watches the interpreters
face for additional visual cues.
