Competency A Professionalism and Understanding:

You continue to exhibit very satisfactory professionalism. The good rapport

you have established with the learners and your MST should be sustained. I
am glad that the MST was present and that she continues to support you with
scaffolding during the activities. This positive learning environment should
serve you well as you progress into the second half of your internship.

Category B Planning for Learning:

A satisfactory lesson plan was provided before the lesson. The material and
content of the lesson were appropriate for the class level. You continue to
demonstrate very careful planning from the quality of your teaching aids.

Category C Implementing and Managing Learning:

Learners quickly engaged in telling that day and date. Then the learners were
presented with a video playback with a song about different bugs
Caterpillar, bee, butterfly, and spider. The lesson objective about bugs was
elicited successfully. This was followed up by a class discussion going over
each of the target bugs. You might have provided more details about the
bugs by, for example, providing more parts of the insects such as HEAD,
THORAX and ABDOMEN or PROBOSCIS or synonym for antenna - FEELERS.
You could have also used the opportunity to extend knowledge about the
distinction between INSECTS and ARECNIDES. The Venn diagram could have
been used more efficiently and effectively to extend knowledge. The follow-
up group activity was satisfactory but could have allowed for more learner
use of the target language. After this the learners were presented with a
worksheet to complete individually. Overall, the lesson went very
satisfactorily.

Category D Monitoring and Assessment of Learning:

You continue to do very well managing the class. You also continue to use Q &
A to elicit desired responses from the students. Great job with scaffolding -
you seem to have a knack for coaxing responses out of the learners.

Category E Reflection:

Your self-evaluation was satisfactory. However, you need to continue

engaging in more critical self-appraisal spot on about how you might
provide more opportunities for the learners to speak.

Strengths of the Lesson:

The main strengths of this lesson were: learner participation, classroom

management, and excellent rapport with the learners.

Areas for Development:

Ensure that you consistently: 1) Framing of questions - What is the date of

today?;
You know how is the sound of the cricket?; You like the honey?; Which
colors you like?, How the butterfly taste the food?; You have
understand?; And where you are live?; What about the yellow group the
answer is true or not? 2) Grammatical errors on the board - The spider does
not has antennae; The cricket was actually a grass hopper; Focus and
be attention with me; Clap your hands for you. 3) Pronunciation -
Antennae /antiine/ for /Antennee/
Focus for next lesson:

Please continue planning to ensure that the learners get more opportunities
to use the target language in sustained meaningful units.
