Objective: Taking turns answer questions about days of the week, the month, and other
basic life skills

Variety of Learners: To account for different learners, change questions to address higher
order thinking skills. Ask students to repeat what others have answered, repeat questions
asked previously, refer to songs used to remember days of week, months of year, value of
coins etc.

Before Teacher Students

Time: Remind students to check their


schedules (ie head to the circle carpet) Students find their way to their
assigned seats on the carpet.

Identify coins and their value


Sing whats the weather and send
someone to the window to look

should be worn outside today

Have several students identify signs

Do sight words if there is time

After Teacher Students

Time: Tell students to quietly go to their seats Students return to their seats
and wait for directions quietly
