JONAH was that he escaped certain death and remained ALIVE while expected to be dead by those who tried to kill
him.
The word sleep is used figuratively in the Bible to mean death (2 Kings 24:5-6, John 11:17, 2 Peter 3:4). Can
death then not also be used figuratively to mean sleep?
