AdvisoryNotice:RutgersLawSchoolpublishesinadvanceafinalexaminationschedulewhich
generallyisnotsubjecttochangeaftertheadvanceregistrationperiodiscompleted.Courses
arescheduledatthelawschooltominimizeconflictingexaminations(i.e.,examswhichoccur
simultaneously);however,itisultimatelythestudentsresponsibilitytoensurethatexamsdonot
conflict.UnderRule15ofthelawschoolsAcademicrules,astudentmayseekpriorpermission
fromViceDeanMutchersonandAsst.DeanRentezelastodeferoneexamtothenextavailable
daywherethereisanexamconflict.Anexamconflictexistswhenastudenthastwoexamson
thesamedayorthreeexamswithinaspanofthreedaysorless.Inordertoobtainadeferment,
studentsmustalertViceDeanMutchersonandAsst.DeanRentezelasoftheexamconflictbythe
endoftheadd/dropperiod.Examdefermentswillbeprovidedsparinglyandonlyinexigent
circumstances.

Firstyearexaminationsarescheduledtoequalizetheintervalsbetweentestsand,whenpossible,
toprovideabreakbetweenupperclassexaminations.Studentsareurgednottoconstructa
courseloadthatproducesundulyburdensomeexaminationrequirements.

Forinclassexams,studentsshouldreporttoclassroomsatleast15minutespriortothestart
time.
