Lesson Objectives: Children sing or make sounds as able with teacher and others;
Children respond to music through movement and sound, when appropriate, to express
what they hear.

Assessment: With the book, I will look around to make sure that all of the students are
at least watching and trying to read along with the book, if not singing along as well. For
the movement activity, students will have successfully accomplished the objective if they
are moving in some way that either reflects the music or the actions of the butterfly. With
the sound story, they will have achieved the objective if they are at least paying
attention and have their focus on the story, but it would be better to see the students
following along and participating. And finally, for the song, if the students are watching
(attending) they will have achieved the objective, but it would be even better if they are
participating and moving in appropriate ways with the song and possibly singing along.
