Permit to work

I. Scope:
Hot works (i.e. grinding, welding, thermal or oxygen cutting etc.)
Working at height
Non-routine activities
High risk activities
Activities that needs coordination of two or more individuals
Excavation
Working in confined spaces
Non-productive work (i.e. maintenance, repair, inspection, testing etc.)
Transfer of one activity to one another
Contained liquid or gas
Electrical works
Mechanical permit (i.e. forklift, crane, jack hammer)
Extreme temperature (i.e. very hot conditions)
Use of ionizing radiations or radioactive sources

II. Identify activity that requires permit to work

III. Secure permit to work


IV. Review the request for permit to work
V. Conduct inspection on the worksite
VI. Communicate the requirements
VII. Close the permit to work
