Key Terms
Annual Measurable Goals (AMO)- goals to reduce the achievement gap set
by the state to measure progress. It is a percentage.
Adequate yearly progress (AYP) a measurement indicating whether a
school, division or the state met federally approved academic goals required
by the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act/No Child Left Behind
Act (ESEA/NCLB)
Gap Group 1= Students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged, and
English language learners (combined)
Gap Group 2= Black students
Gap Group 3= Hispanic students
