Judging:
Horses that place first or second in all NAN qualifying classes will receive a NAN
card. This card qualifies the horse to compete in the North American Nationals show for
the following four years. Please respect the judges opinions even if you do not agree
with them. All judges opinions are final. If you have a question about your horses placing
you may ask the judge when they are not busy but while the class is still fresh in their
mind. Arguing will not be tolerated. Judges have the right to split classes at their own
discretion. Split classes will be announced and time will be given to reorganize the
horses in the class. If you are interested in judging please email me at
jojopeckham@hotmail.com. Judges will pay 20$ for a half table and will receive
lunch.
Show Tables:
Tables will not be covered so it is recommended that you do bring your own table
cover if desired. Selling at your table is permitted, but please keep your merchandise
limited to your table and keep the aisles clean. If you have a sign please tape it to the
table or boxes and not to the walls. If you have a seating request, I will try my best to
accommodate you.
Entry Limits:
Open Divisions: 3 Horses Per Halter Class 2 Horses Per Performance Class
If you wish to enter more than the above limit, you may place 1$ in the cup on the show
table for each additional horse.
Performance:
Due to limited table space, please keep your performance entry to a maximum of
18 by 30 (except harness). Please keep excessive props at a minimum. Dolls are not
required for any class, but if they are used they must be positioned and dressed
correctly. Horses showing in performance classes must be wearing appropriate tack and
attire for the class. Only one horse may be toe tagged per entry. All others will be
considered props. The horse with the toe-tag is the one that will be judged and receive a
NAN card if placed first or second in the class. Horses may show in both Halter and
Performance, but please be warned that the divisions will be held at the same time and I
will not hold a class for one horse to be tacked/untacked.
Halter:
Toe Tags:
Each model is required to have a toe tag. The breed and gender is to be written
on one side, with the showers name or initials and the horses name on the other side.
When the horse is placed in the show ring, the side displaying breed and gender is to be
facing upward. Please double check your tag is facing the right way! If your tag is facing
name side up, your horse risks disqualification. These tags are sold in almost any office
supply carrying store, and are often sold as strung marking tags. If your horse is a
cross breed, please note which two breeds it is crossed with, not just Arabian Cross
but Arabian/Paint Cross. For grade horses, please write which type of grade, such as
draft type grade or light type grade. Toe tags will not be supplied to you at the show,
so please make sure you have them filled out ahead of time.
Example:
Definitions:

rehaired, repositioned, resculpted, etched, etc.

artist. Resin models that were painted in a factory, such as Breyer Breeds of the World
resins and BHR are not considered ARs and will be shown in the OF division.

Pebbles, Paddock Pals and Micro Minis.

Callbacks:
At the judges discretion, callbacks will call all first and second place horses or
first place horses only at the end of each division. The judge will then decide the
champion and reserve champion of the division from these horses. At the end of all the
divisions in each separate division, overall grand and reserve will be called from the
reserve and champion horses. Divisions with overall champs and reserves will be noted
in the class list. Please bring up all ribbons won for a horse in performance, and only first
and second place ribbons for halter.
Loading/Unloading:
I ask that you may please refrain from running in the showhall. Do not touch any
models without asking the owner. No alcohol, foul language, pets or radios are allowed
in the hall. Please refrain from lingering near the show rings while judging is in progress,
and please try your best not to talk to a judge while they are judging a class.
All of your belongings must be stored on or under your table, not in the walkway.
There will be no refunds for any reason except for a returned entry from a full show limit.
Please do not place books on the rings for documentation. If you need to
document something, you must use a piece of paper or an index card. If you are not
sure what class a model belongs in, please ask the show-holder or judge well before the
class starts.
Lunch Information:
We will break for lunch somewhere around noon. I will be ordering in pizza from a local
pizzaria. I will also include a lunch order form so I can know who wants what before the
show.
