INTRODUCTION

The site visit/inspection was carried out to enable us to be able to scope the work
to be done on the locations in Shell RA.

Location 1: Sub-station 2

Tank Size: 6 x 6 x 2

Tank Type: Partitioned (3 x 3)

Supply line: Two (2)

Delivery Line: Two (2)

Supply line size: 3 UPVC

Delivery Line Size: 4 galvanised to be change to UPVC

Drain: No drain and overflow piping to be constructed by contractor

Earthing: Available but requires integrity check

Ground Storage tank: failure at the different section of the side plate. Benkline to
provide solution to repair the tank.

Observation: Leaking bottom tank plate.

 Failed section on the body of the tank close to welded area.

SCOPE: To carry out refurbishment of the Overhead Tank and above

-ground storage tank:

Replacement of defective tank plate and other accessories

UPVC piping fabrication for delivery, overflow and drain line

Coating/painting of entire structures and tank with associated piping

Repair of above ground storage tank.

Drain: No drain piping, overflow piping available, drain and overflow to be tied
and piped to a dished.

Earthing/Lighting Arrestor: Not available, to be installed by Benkline.

Above-Ground Storage tank: failure at the different section of the side plate.
Benkline to provide solution to repair the tank.

Observation: Visible corrosion on the tank plate and steel structures.

SCOPE: To carry out refurbishment of the Overhead Tank and Steel

structures

Replacement of all defective tank plate and other accessories

UPVC piping fabrication for delivery, overflow and drain line

Coating/painting of entire structures, tank and associated pipings.

Repair sub-station 4 door.
