In the process of creating my portfolio, I made many revisions in order

to make my writing better. Some revisions include fixing grammar mistakes,

spelling errors, sentence structure, word choice, and getting rid of

contractions. I fixed my journal prompt because it was at the beginning of

the year, when my writing needed a lot of work. I fixed small things here and

there on a few of my assignments but there was not a lot to fix. I fixed my

resume to flow a little better, I added things that would get me recognized.

When we got comments back from Ms. Tamez, I used my time to revise my

assignments then. I believe this benefitted me because I was able to see

the \difference from how I wrote at the beginning of this semester to now.

Being able to revise all of these also helped get into the practice of rereading

and fixing my work to make it sound better.

This class has helped a lot in preparing me for both college and future

jobs. It has taught me different ways of writing and has also helped me see

how important it is. At the beginning of this semester I have struggled

coming up with things to write about and how to write papers. I am now able

to write papers that make sense and that get the point across. In college I

will need to be able to write many papers and in a certain amount of time.

This class has challenged me to do that and has helped me a lot. I have also

learned how to keep resumes short and straight to the point.

I believe that if I continue to work on my writing, it will not only help

me in college but will also help me increase my knowledge and my ability to

influence others to read my writing. I will work on getting papers done on

time because it will help me to learn how to use my time wisely and to keep

my priorities first. In order to keep up with my success, I will repeatedly

revise my work, work on sentence structures and work on fluency within my

papers.

I believe I have been very active and very involved to prepare myself

for what is to come next. Not only did I get involved in many different

activities to work on socializing and communicating, I also got involved with

classes that would help prep me for what I want to for my next step. I took

classes that I was interested in and classes that would strengthen some of

my abilities and skills so that I can use them in college and later on in my

life.
