Homework Packet #2

Please complete three of the five following activities with a parent. Return
this packet to Miss Katotakis on Friday.

Activities:

1. Interview an adult (parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle) in your family.

Talk to them about the following things:
Have them tell you about where they grew up
Have them tell you about their favorite memory
Have them tell you about the funniest thing that ever happened
to them
You must talk to this adult about all three of the above items. Tell me who
you talked to and what their responses were. Write this information on
page (1) of this packet.

2. Pretend you are throwing at party at your home with your parents. With
your parent, write an invitation to the party and tell me the schedule of
events that would occur at the party. Write this information on page (2)
of this packet.

3. Read to your parent for 20 minutes. Have your parent retell what you
read. On page (3) of this packet, write down your parents retelling of
what you read.

4. Find an old family photograph you have never seen before and ask your
parent about it. Answer who is in the photo, when was it taken, where
was it taken, and if it was it taken on a special occasion. Also give any
other information about the photo. Please describe what the photo
looks like. Use page (4) of this packet to write your answers.

5. Draw and color a comic strip of something funny that happened this
week at home to a parent or sibling.
