School of Education

To Whom it May Concern,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of recommendation in support of Danielle Schwartzs pursuit
to teach in your school district. Currently, my role at The College of New Jersey is the Assistant Director of The
Center for Sensory and Complex Disabilities and adjunct faculty in the Special Education Language and Literacy
Department.

Over the past twelve years, I have had the privilege to work with Danielle in many different capacities, all
related to supporting young adults with disabilities, and more specifically believing that every person is
capable of working and contributing to the community, despite their abilities or disabilities. She has high
expectations, yet realistic goals for the individuals she has works with.

I have worked the closest with Danielle during The Work Skills Preparation Program, as she served in roles,
Academic Coordinator and most recently, Program Coordinator. WSP is a summer program, partnered with
The New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired designed to prepare high school with complex
disabilities for work and adult life. Additionally, Danielle was the pioneer of the Youth Employment Program,
implementing the new regulations set forth by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act WIOA; providing
services to discover the attributes of the young adults to prepare for employment.

Danielle is a leader. More often than not, Danielle was relied on for her unique set of critical thinking skills
that made her a dependable colleague. She has a niche and passion for learning the newest trends in
technology and has incorporated technology in the classroom, in her own work, and within the overall
infrastructure of whatever (and whoever) she is working with, to improve effectiveness.
Danielle is a collaborator. She gained a positive rapport with the professional staff, program staff, our funders,
and most importantly, the students. She continues to hold this reputation within our community of practice as
well.

Honestly, I have so much respect for the person and natural educator Danielle is. She effortlessly works with
students with severe as well as less demanding disabilities with equal ease. She consistently exceeds what is
expected of her, and seeks a variety opportunities to better herself in this field of Special Education. The
students look up to her, her peers admire her; and those she works for, depend on her. It has been a
distinguished pleasure to work with her, and it is without any reservation that I recommend Danielle Schwartz
for a teaching position in your school district.

Sincerely,

Kelly Reymann
Assistant Director
