Greetings of Peace!

The Ateneo College Glee Club, on its 96th season, cordially invites you to our very first Advent
Reflection titled Stella. It will be held on the 26th of November 2016, Saturday, at the Church of
the Gesu in Ateneo de Manila University. The event will be a synthesis of a Eucharistic service and
a choral concert and will be composed of scripture readings. These passages will be
incorporated with a choral repertoire of select songs to facilitate us in our reflection. With this, we
would like to invite you as one of the readers for the event. We hope to make a meaningful
concert that will move the people to reflection, which is why we chose notable leaders in the
Ateneo.

The Advent Reflection will revolve around our awakening as a community and as persons in the
midst of socio-political crisesa call towards valuing life as we celebrate the coming of Jesus
Christ. This theme emulates not only the situation of our country, but also of the world. In the past
year alone, the world has suffered terrorist attacks, violence against minorities, and natural
calamities. Our own country, the Philippines, is currently experiencing political unrest, and the
nation continues to live amidst opposing views. In light of these events, the advent reflection calls
for us to contemplate on the year that has passed and to go back to what is essential, which is to
live a life of service and love. The Advent Reflection aims to invite us to look forward to the year
to come, all in line with the promise that Jesus birth gives us.
