Race Supports Affordable Housing

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (April 30, 2017) - McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity is hosting the
16th Annual Run, Walk, Ride event on June 17 to raise money for the organization. The event
will include a 5K and 10K run or walk and a 28-mile bike ride.

The races are professionally timed and will begin at 8 a.m. at the Falls Event Center at the
Evergreen Museums in McMinnville, Ore.

There are run and walk options for people of all ages. Even children as young as 7 can complete
the 5K walk (slightly over three miles).

We have options for everyone from walking to cycling and then we will all come together to
celebrate everyones success. said McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity Executive Director
Mary Stern.

The cycling route will take participants up Highway 18 toward Amity and then back to the Falls
Event Center. The 5K and 10K walk or run will take place on the Evergreen Museums grounds.

Participants will enjoy a celebratory breakfast after the race at the Falls Event Center. There will
also be a raffle and live music.

This event offers participants the opportunity to support the McMinnville Area Habitat for
Humanity, which dedicated its 55th house in March. McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanitys
next home is scheduled to be dedicated to a single mother in August.

We love seeing our community come out to support our organization, said Stern. This is an
event continues to grow and is one we look forward to every year.
