Patient Statements
The New Century health clinic
deals with a large amount of
patients and different
processes that are being
done daily this includes
appointments, patient
records,
accounting processes, clinic
supplies and payroll which
takes a long time to be
updated
and to be accessed. An
organized and reliable
information system is needed
to handle
all the daily routine and
produce reports that will
summarize the activity of the
business
up-to-date for the owner to
have a basis for his decision.
Transaction Processing (TP) Systems process data generated by day-to-day
business operations. TP systems perform a series of tasks whenever a specific
transaction occurs. Examples of TP systems include customer order processing,
accounts receivable, warranty claim processing. New Century would benefit from
TP systems because its efficient. The TP systems process a set of transaction-
related commands as a group rather than individually. Another benefit of New
Century would be to protect integrity. TP systems ensure that if a single element
of a transaction fails, the system does not process the rest of the transaction.
New Century might use a transaction processing system for appointment
processing; its most critical day-to-day business operation.
1. Transaction processing system
Tom Capaletti could use this system to help him with insurance
reporting and accounting. Susan Gifford could use it to maintain
and update data base of penitent records, also transaction
processing would be helpful in securing such data base.
Carla Herrera could use it for accurate ordering and organizing of
office and clinic supply. Fred Brown can use it to prepare pay roll
and tax reporting.
Transaction processing system is integral part of every business
related system, so it can be used for many business related tasks.
