Overview
The AntennAware Attitude Sensor (AAS) monitoring
solution from Sunsight Instruments uses patented
technology to help ensure wireless networks maintain
their original RF designs. The result is the most
cost-effective method of pro-actively detecting network
problems, thereby improving QoS, optimizing
network performance, and reducing costly customer
churn.
Simple, economical, and compact, AAS can permanently
be mounted on a single antenna or fully integrated
into an antenna array. Measurements can be
transmitted over an AISG interface to a compatible
controller or vendor NMS so results can be seen
anywhere and at any time. For large installations, AAS
can be daisy-chained with other AISG devices, such as
RET controllers.*

techniques, it tracks latitude, longitude and sun
measurements to measure azimuth to +/-1 accuracy.
AAS has highly sensitive accelerometers to measure
downtilt and real time antenna plumb to +/-25
accuracy. It helps improve mitigate interference,
guaranteed data throughput, and ensures networks
meet or exceed established KPIs.

Simplify Troubleshooting
AAS detects when antennas shift out of alignment during the antennas life to the exact azimuth, which makes
troubleshooting much easier and cost efficient by eliminating the need for engineers and technicians to review all
sites in a problem area.

No Moving Parts
The AAS is highly reliable, it has no moving parts that can break or deteriorate over time.

Improves Data Collection

Information, such as absolute antenna azimuth, collected by AAS can be sent over an AISG interface to a
compatible controller, NMS of BTS vendor or laptop computer. This allows users to locate trends by analyzing
historical data.

Sensor Lite (AASL). Lightweight, inexpensive, and easy-to-install, AASL offers excellent performance and high
