LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE PRAGMATIC COMPETENCE SOCIO-LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE

(STRUCTURE):
The students will learn vocabulary of the
months (January, February, March, April,
June, July, august, September, October,
November, December) and the
pronunciations.
(FUNCTION):
The students are able to say the months of the
year with correct pronunciation and its
respective order.
(SITUATIONAL CONTEXT):
The students are going to interact with their
classmates because they work in groups and share
with others. They work together to win points.

ACHIEVEMENT: learn and pronounce correctly the months of the year

PROCEDURE:

WARMING UP: (5 min) PRESENTATION: (10 min)

The teacher will present a calendar, In which students should say what 1. The teachers will present a song called Months of the Year Song - 12
they do in each month. Months of the Year, the song tends to repeat, then teachers and students
sing together. (annex 1)
2. The children talk about what they have said in the warming up, about
their activities in each month.
3. Then the teachers present pictures with an image and they will teach
pronunciation and order of each month. Each picture will have events
which happen in each month, taking into account that they know what
the students do in each month. And our birthday month. Then teachers
will say January: time of new year January : time of my birthday

GUIDED PRACTICE: (8 min ) CREATIVE PRACTICE: (7 min)
1. The teacher will divide the students in two groups (the students 1. The students will choose a month. The will create a collage,
select a name of a color for their own group taking into using clippings from a magazine then they will present it, saying

way, they will work individually and will order it and will
pronounce aloud it. Everyone will participate.
3. The teachers will past on the wall, the pictures that they use in
the last activity, the teachers will give students some
commands, like go to January everyone will run to the
month.

ASSESSMENT (EVALUATION): The students will present their own collage.
