Nursing Care at Mr. A with Hematothorax in the An Nass 2 Jakarta Pondok

Kopi Islamic Hospital

ABSTRACT

Nursing care is needed in patient with hematothorax to assist patients to her original
state. Hematothorax is a disease of the respiratory system and can disrupt the cause
of death, usually occurs because of trauma to the chest that can cause bleeding in the
pleural cavity. For that nursing care is to prevent or reduce the mortality rate in the
future. Based on the data record medic Pondok Kopi Jakarta Islamic Hospital found
the number of patients hematothorax from January - May 2013 as many as 11
patients. Nursing care at Mr. A with hematothorax is implemented 22 to May 24,
2013 for 3 x 24 hours, in order to apply the nursing process and documentation
processes that can benefit and increase knowledge. In this paper using the nursing
process which includes assessment through evaluation and documentation of the
physical examination data collection, interviews, observation, patient status. After
performing nursing care in Mr. A with hematotohrax found 1 cause according to the
theory, wich is blunt trauma to the chest due to an accident. Of nursing care was also
found to 4 diagnoses with the issue is resolved, wich is ineffective breathing pattern
related to lung expansion was not optimal, lack of knowledge about the disease and
how to treat them related less exposure of information and unresolved issue is the
comfortable feeling pain disorder associated with discontinuities ribs and the risk of
wound infection associated with post installation WSD.
