I worked with my father at his workshop on summer 2016. Hes a
mechanical engineer and he repairs diesel fuel injection pumps;
therefore, I got a lot of experience regarding how to repair those
pumps and I learned a lot about mechanical engineering in general.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a student in Veterans Memorial ECHS; I have been on an engineering

career pathway and I consider myself a good student. I became interested in
engineering because of my dad. My dad is a mechanical engineer and he has
his own business in Mexico; I have helped him many times during summer,
so I became really interested in engineering. In addition, during my
education at Veterans Memorial ECHS I took an engineering career pathway,
which made me more interested in the subject.

In classes such as Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of

Engineering, Digital Electronics, and Engineering Design & Development; I
learned to connect circuits, create 3D designs on programs such as Autodesk
Inventor, assemble mechanisms, use easyC to program, and find solutions to
given problems. I also learned how to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe
Premiere Pro by myself in my spare time, and I consider myself as having a
medium-advanced experience regarding both of those programs.

I worked at a retirement home in Mexico, which really made me appreciate

life more, and due to advice of the seniors, get motivated to pursue my
dreams right now instead of doing it later. I served food to the seniors and
helped them to realize their daily activities, but most of the time I was
speaking with them and hearing their beautiful stories.

In my spare time, I like to read books and science/technology articles, watch

movies, and work on things related to my personal interests such as
improving my pronunciation, editing videos and photos for fun, and working
on ideas to make them tangible prototypes.
