KALI MANTRA SADHANA (MEDITATION USING KALI MANTRA)

November 2, 2014 at 1:31pm

Kali mantras are primarily used for protection from enemies, black magic and e
vil spirits. But, many do not know that these mantras can also be used for cure
of diseases, bright educational future and many more. We should keep in mind tha
t these are double edged swords. If you use it for good, goddess will protect yo
u no matter whatever may come in your way. If you use it for evil purposes, it w
ill give some of the results u need. But, eventually it will destroy yourself. S
o do good with mantra.
(Kali is often depicted as residing in battle field or shmashana/crematio
n ground. Our mind is the battle field. We are always troubled by worldly lust, a
nger, desire, intolerance etc. Once you start worshiping goddess kali, our consc
ience becomes ferocious kali to fight against these worldly things that troubles
our mind and hinder our meditation. At last, every worldly things get destroyed
and the mind becomes shmashana or cremation ground where kali only(conciousness
) will be left and constant thinking about her leads to the realization that she
is the soul that krishna talks about in gita.Human mind has three states. While
we are awake, we sense through eye, ear etc in our mind. While we are dreaming
,without the aid of senses like ear, eye etc, we hear and see things. In deep sl
eep, we never see or hear(even if somebody calls us) ,the 5 senses, the mind and
our intelligence get disappeared. At this state, where our mind and 5 senses, r
emain focused is the supreme consciousness or the soul. But, since, in this stat
e, our intelligence also disappears, this state cannot be understood. In the wak
e state, if at all, it is very difficult, we should try hard to attain this stat
e, our intelligence is also awake while we are awake and so it is easy for to un
derstand and feel this state. This is the union with the soul or yoga, this is t
he state of one person's mind who attains moksha or the ultimate reality. Kali h
elps to attain this state easily. That is the fact and truth. This state of yoga
cannot be put in black and white. If you attain it, you know you attained it. I
t is an infinite state of pleasure, love, compassion, kindness and tolerance. Wh
at you see and feel in this state ,is the soul, which is present in you and all
other beings. Take deep breath and just in mind think about it mildly. What is t
he feeling you are getting while you close your eyes and contemplate on cloudles
s bright sky?)
Kali maa is not your servant. She is the mother of the universe who
has incarnated in the ferocious form to protect good people from evil people, s
pirits, ghosts, demons and evil gods. Only child-like innocence can win her hear
t and if someone is against you just keep going ignoring them and do not use man
tra against them, instead pray to goddess, "If this is your will, let it be ful
filled." It's not you, but, it's the goddess herself who should take actions agai
nst them. Keep all these in mind.
Eat satwik food (avoid foods like meat, egg, fish, onions and their pr
oducts in any form). Milk can be consumed. Celibacy is not an unavoidable requir
ement. But, if you keeps, mantra will be fruitfully perfected in short time. In
general satwik worship gives fruit in 1 year, rajo worship in 6 months and tam
o worship in 1 month. Keep in mind that the tamo upasana is dangerous and event
ually destroys the worshiper if he commit even a small mistake and the fruit of
satwik worship is everlasting.[ "Satwik worship" can be roughly translated as "t
he worship by a person who wishes the good of all". Since he never want to harm
any one, he cannot worship the goddess with any kind of animal sacrifice, meat o
r blood, and he cannot give his own blood and meet of his body. He uses symbolic
wirship in which meat is replaced with bread and blood with any kind of red col
oured juice (fruit/plant). "Rajo worship" is self centered and he doesnot harm a
ny animal, but, he worship the goddess with his own blood and many-a-times meat
from his body. "Thamo worship is roughly traslated as " dark worship", during su
ch a worship the practisioner worship the goddess with animal sacrifices. The fi
rst path is the right path and harmless and gives everlasting results. Hope you
get it. If you want to get her grace, just forget all these and with devotion ju
st chant any of her mantra regularly in satwik mind(without any intension of har
ming others)]
Seek guidance of a competent person before starting the chanting. If yo
u couldn't find a teacher or guide start chanting the mantra accepting goddess h
erself as teacher and guide.
GENERAL METHOD OF CHANTING:
Start on friday or The day of full moon. Take a bath, wear red silk sit
on a red silk mat in front of a lamp ignited with ghee/coconut oil/sesame oil/an
y other oil. Make red-sandal wood powder as a paste and wear on forehead.( or mi
x diluted lime juice with turmeric powder and use it) Sit firmly in erect positi
on in any posture like sukhasana/ padmasana/any other comfortable position. Chan
t the mantra in a definite number of times(usually 108 times.)with a rosary( usu
ally of 108 beads) made of anything, contemplating the goddess as she is describ
ed in dhyana, the contemplation verse. From 11:00 PM Night to 2:00 AM Early mor
ning, is the best timing for chanting. If you cannot do it during such a timing,
do it during the morning or evening. At the end of the chanting, conclude by be
gging forgiveness for any unintended errors. For the first some days you might n
ot be able to contemplate properly. But, keep trying. As days passes you'll be
more and more perfect in contemplating. Keep chanting the mantra as a routine.
Good results will be bestowed and you will get many favors. Finally the goddess
will appear to you.(You can ask any material benefits like wealth, strength etc.
But, a wise-man only ask her to be on his side for ever and to be able to live
under her grace forever. Such a wise man, after these events, should spend more
time in chanting mantra. This chanting will deliver him that knowledge which he
lps him to escape the cycle of birth and death or the samsara, leading him to mo
ksha. ). It will take some time( goddess is easy to propitiate. But, in some ca
ses it takes several years depending upon the individuals). It is said that one
will hear her ankle bell sounds, whispers and chuckling sounds indicating her pr
esence. Howling sounds of dogs or wolves, heavy lightning without raining are so
me of the signs that she is going to appear to you. These events and her appeara
nce might frighten and turn a coward or fainthearted to a lunatic. So I hereby w
arn such people to stay away from kali mantra chanting.
Note: Once you select a mantra, it is better not to change to another mantra. Fr
equent change in mantra will affect contemplation and effect of the mantra.

6) (The mantra of the dakshinakali)

The meaning of the name is complicated, some says the name indicates kali
stands, with her dakshin pada(right leg) on shiva's chest. There are anyway more
than that because some says the name dakshinakali denotes the one who is worshi
ped by dakshin marga(right path-the satwik marga) of tantric tradition. The kali
who is worshiped by vama marga( left path-the worship using toddy, meat, a kind
of bean called mudra, sexual intercourse and fish)of tantric tradition is called
vamakali. It is also a tradition that a bride should enter the bridegroom's hou
se with right feet (dakshin pada) first in. This is supposed to bring fortune.
And if she steps in with left feet(vama pada) firstly, it is believed to bring
disasters and misfortune. To sum up dakshinakali is the kali who brings prosperi
ty and vamakali is the seat of disaster. It is also to be noted that vamakali is
not normally worshiped by all. The meaning of dakshinakali is endless and her t
rue essence can only be understood by meditating upon her.
(contemplation) :
Meaning: I meditate on kali who has projecting terrifying canine teeth and deli
cate/beautiful tongue standing naked on corpse(lord shiva in the form of corpse)
smiling and wearing garland of severed heads with her 4 hands holding severed he
ad, sword, varamudra and abhaya mudra.
(Mantra):
(kreem kreem kreem hoom hoom hreem hreem dakshine kalike kreem kreem kreem hoom
hoom hreem hreem)
(-This dakshinakali mantra is believed to bestow the 8 supernatural powers )
( A variant of the mantra):
(kreem kreem kreem hreem hreem hoom hoom dakshine kalike kreem kreem kreem hreem
hreem hoom hoom)
(?This dakshinakali mantra is believed to attract celestial beings or gods)
( Another variant of the mantra):
(kreem kalike kreem)
This mantra is believed to grant powers to bless and curse)
All the three mantras are the same. And also, there are a number of variants for
the mantra apart from these. I just mentioned three of them. The meaning of thes
e mantras cannot be described in words. They have infinite meanings. Only medita
tion can convey the essence of these mantras. Usually om is added in the front t
o reduce the intense effects of these mantras and suffixes....,swaha, ???-namah,
fatt or ???-vashat) are added depending up on the use and purpose. Read agnipur
ana for details.
Note: The above descriptions of dakshinakali mantras are only for informative pu
rposes. These mantras are not supposed to be chanted in houses. Don't invite hav
oc into life by chanting, testifying or testing these mantras. Chant only with gu
idance from a learned teacher who knows about this. Cremation ground or graveyar
d and temple of goddess kali or lord bhairava are the best places to chant these
mantras.
7 (The mantra of krishnakali):
The word krishnakali means the black kali.(The kali herself is black and th
is name indicates ferocious destructive nature of this form)
(contemplation) :
Meaning: I always bow to the black kali with terrifying and projecting canine te
eth, who smashes the hearts of large groups of enemies in to pieces in a sing
le blow with sword, skull, trident and vajrayudh(lightning or a weapon that prod
uces lightning which looks like the skeleton of a fish).
