The Crew
Lead Bios
Alyssa Colvin is a 9 year old 4th grader who attends Bethune Acade-
my. She has played the Little Red Hen 3 different times in different productions
of the play, Munchkin #1 in Dorothys Winter Ozzy Show and various other
roles. Her hobbies consist of dancing,singing,acting and watching TV. She is
very excited to not only be working with more experienced high school actors
but also her sister who is also in the play.

Alex Elizondo is a Senior at G.W.Car ver Magnet High School and


this is his first year with the Panther Players Troupe 6753. While not in theatre,
he has always been passionate about the Performing Arts. As a part of Carvers
Orchestra for his 4th year now, this year he has had the privilege to be its Presi-
dent. He also enjoys doing volunteering with National Honor Society and his
church, Champion Forest Baptist Church. His dream after high school is to be-
come a Film Director! He appreciates and gives thanks to God, his family,
friends, and directors for supporting him in this endeavour.

Bishop Pearsall is a 16 year old aspir ing ar tist. Perfor ming is more
than a hobby for him, it is his passion. He received months of training from lo-
cal theatres in the Houston area, such as the Ensemble Theatre, and has per-
formed on Houstons Hobby Center stage at the 2014 Tommy Tune Awards.
Bishop has had the honor to join the Texas Thespians 2015 - 2016 All State
Cast of students from all over the state of Texas, to perform the musical Big
Fish. His ultimate goal is to reach every heart he performs for. To him, art is
evolution, enlightenment, and the true reflection of life.

Elysa Aguilar is a Senior at G.W. Car ver and is very involved in thea-
tre. Freshman year I was Carla in In the Heights. The only freshman to have
a main role! That summer, I recorded the theme song for a PBS
show! Sophomore year we performed Memphis at Festival and I was the lead
in Ghost! Recently, I performed in an Off Broadway production .
Lead Bios
Jazmyne Charles is a very well accomplished 10th gr ader at G.W
Carver High as well as . She is independent and strives for greatness. She plans
to have a career as a astounding film actress. She has been riding the path that
will get her there receiving many award such as Tommy Tunes Nominee for best
actress, qualified for Nationals as the lead singer of Pippin the Musical. Shes al-
so attended Texas Thespian Festival twice and qualified for Nationals for Group
Musical. Lastly, I would like to thank God for putting me in the position i am in
today.
Je'Qwan Owens is a Senior at G.W. Car ver and is an aspir ing young
artist who is striving to leave his mark in people's minds and hearts both on and
off the stage. In every musical I participated in I made it a priority to learn the
lines and choreography to every scene and song; in every U.I.L show I have par-
ticipated in I made it a priority to know the show backwards and forwards, like
the back of my hand. Through my efforts to succeed I have proven time and time
again my dedication to this field of art and my passion for it as well. As for the
future I go wherever God takes me.

Jocelyn Dorsey is an 8th gr ader at Drew Academy. Being in a Car ver


Musical has always been a dream for her. When she comes to high school, she
would like to continue to do plays and musicals. After high school, she wants to
go to college at Julliard, UCLA, Sam Houston or University of Texas. Her quote
for life would be Work hard, stay humble, and baby girl keep pushing.

Kai Womack has done small plays since kinder gar ten. Every teacher
she had, built a great relationship because she is very kind and takes direction.
Kai also loves meeting new people and building strong relationships with her
peers as well. Ms. Womack has dreamed of having fun in the arts. Along with
playing the violin she wants to act and sing on television. Since shes a sopho-
more she is still planning on the big move after graduation.
Lead Bios
Kevin Crear is a Senior at Car ver Magnet High School. He is also an
International Thespian. He is a board member of the Panther Players troupe
6753. Kevin has competed in UIL One Act Play, is a nationals qualifier for
Thespian Festival, and a Tommy Tune Award winning actor.

RiChard Jordan is an 11th gr ader at Car ver High School. I enjoy


playing the character of Tonton Julian he teaches helpful life lessons of that
which is there is always a rainbow at the end of a storm. I also enjoy live thea-
tre and other musicals such as The Book of Mormon and Hamilton. But an-
yways enough about me I hope you enjoy the musical Once on this Island.

Stephanie Landa is a Senior at G.W. Car ver that feels that fine ar ts is
really important. She has been involved in dancing, acting and singing. With the
training Roshunda Jones and Jabari Collins, she was able to gain confidence in
herself as a performer and as a person. Overall, she is excited to have a lead role
her senior year and is thankful for the love and support giving by her director's,
theatre team, and family.
Panther PlayersClass Of 2017
Aziza Robinson is a senior at G.W. Car ver Magnet High School;
This is her fourth year as a Panther Player, and second year as a Board Mem-
ber for Troupe 6753. Shes been blessed to be able to work shows downtown
at the Hobby Center for the past four years, and also be chosen out of all of
Texas as one of the few technicians in the All-State production of Big Fish,
which was performed as a mainstage show at both the 2015 Texas Thespian
Festival and at National Thespian Festival this past summer. She gives thanks
to her family and friends for endless support.

Debrycen Sumuel was inducted into The Car ver Panther Player s in
2015. As a Panther Player I have, under the direction of Ms. Roshunda Jones
and Mr. Jabari Collins, been to the Regional One Act Play competition , Area
UIL One Act Play competitions, received ensemble, received Tommy Tune
Nominations for Best Musical , Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Cos-
tumes, Best Ensemble. Some notable shows that I have performed took part in
by the troupe are; The Raft of the Medusa, Hairspray, Young Gifted and
Black.
India Sherman is a Senior at G.W.Car ver Magnet High School;
Board Member/Officer of the Panther Players Troupe 6753. She enjoys danc-
ing, acting, and singing in her free time. She has been in numerous produc-
tions at TUTS Humphreys School of Musical theatre; which include Hair-
spray, Rent and Bring it On . India is also a very intelligent student, holding
herself as top 15% of her class. She enjoys volunteering at local community
events. Her dream career is to become a Nurse! She thanks and appreciates
her parents and directors for giving her a chance and believing in her!
Jaela Amos is a senior attending Car ver Magnet High School. Shes
a talented, hardworking, and dedicated young lady. Last UIL season Jaela
closed a show titled, To Be Young Gifted and Black. In that play she por-
trayed numerous numbers of unique characters. She is a young lady who
loves performing in musicals and has appeared in numerous plays. She works
hard and practices how she performs. For college she plans on attending
UCSD; majoring in Biology and someday becoming an OB-GYN.

Jerycah Lee has been in theatre ar ts since i was in elementar y school.
Ever since i was a little girl, I had always had a love for being on stage and per-
forming. When I was in the 8th grade i saw Carver do The Color Purple, and I
instantly fell in love with theatre. When i got to Carver I was super excited to be
in the shows and learn new things from Ms. Jones and Mr. Collins. In my 4
years of being here I have learned a lot and made some really great friends. I
plan to go college and study Theatre arts and Film to become a professional ac-
tress. Theatre means a lot to me, it is a safe place for me to express myself and
be who I truly am. I will never forget the memories i made with fellow cast
members now and then. I will honestly and truly miss Carver theatre.
Krystal Ester is a senior at G.W. Car ver Magnet High School. She has
only attended Carver for two years and each year she was involved in theatre.
She participated in Hairspray the Musical and a rendition of Young, Gifted and
Black. She also attended the Texas Thespian Festival. Krystal would like to
thank God for everything he has done forever because without him, she wouldnt
be where she was today.
Rmanie Najee Davis is currently a senior at G.W. Car ver Magnet High
School and is a board member/officer of the Panther Players Troupe 6753. He
was inducted into the National Thespian Society in 2015. He is also a two time
National Qualifier. He thanks his family and his directors for giving him the op-
portunity to achieve greatness.
Tyrese Williams is a senior at G.W. Car ver High school. He has been a
member of the troupe for the past four years. He has always loved theater. He
knows that to be a good performer you must be able to fully commit your
heart,body, and soul. After high school he plans to join the Air force. He says
that he simply wants to help people in any way or form. Whether it be by mak-
ing them laugh or saving their life.
