Indonesia

We are going to do a comparative study on
censorship between Malaysia and Indonesia,
along with its effects and the steps that these
two countries take to censor banned content
Internet censorship is the control or
suppression of what can be accessed,
published, or viewed on the Internet. It may
be carried out by governments or by private
organizations at the behest of government,
regulators, or on their own initiative.
We will also examine the Laws and Acts that
in these two countries that deal with
Censorship, such as:
o The Communications Decency Act
(CDA)
o The Electronic Communication
Transactional Records Act
o The Child Pornography Prevention
Act
Effects of censorship 5 min
The society might get false information and if
they want to speak something, it cannot be
heard by others, especially network
Can change the way people think on certain
issues. Using media can change peoples
idea and change the way people behave
On the bright side, censorship can control the
content of media thus, control the cases of
adultery as it can censor some sexual
content in videos or pictures. Censorship is
somehow good for children
Influential people like politicians can hide
their hidden propaganda. They also tend to
spread their ideas and use censorship to hide
the bad side of their ideas
