Please accept this letter of interest for consideration as an Este Lauder intern this upcoming summer. I am a
Sophomore, communication major at The University of Maryland and am very interested in the field of
makeup, skincare, fragrance, and hair care products. I intend to graduate with a minor in general business,
which would facilitate future jobs by giving me the background knowledge to understand private business.
Este Lauder companys focus on respect for the individual, uncompromising ethics and integrity, generosity of
spirit and fearless persistence parallels to my passions. Also, the companys promise to provide a High-Touch
approach, which guides the company to deliver outstanding personalized service and education to your
consumers, is something that resonates with me. With my strong skills in verbal and written communication and
my interests in all aspects of the beauty industry, this internship will further allow me to expand my knowledge
from the ground up.

Through my experience working as a recruitment intern for the University of Maryland Football Program, I
have gained verbal and written communication skills. I spoke to potential recruits and answered any questions
they had about academics, coaches, practice schedules and other questions they asked of me. I also toured them
around the school and encouraged them to accept their offers with our football program. Ultimately, I learned
how to form a memorable connection with recruits and their families, as well as be able to network with the
many important recruiters in the Big 10 football Conference. I would love to continue to grow and enhance
these skills as a general intern while expanding my understanding of the beauty industry by working at a
corporate headquarters. I am an energetic and organized individual who takes pride in a job well done. I would
love to learn how the companys mission statement, Bringing the best to everyone we touch and being the best
in everything we do, is put into play on a daily basis in the office.

Throughout my academic life, I have used my skill set of being creative, a team player, and a problem solver in
order to be successful in different school projects. I have experience as a social media manager for the
Undergraduate Communication Association, which increased my competency working with various social
media outlets. I was able to expand our network of followers and post weekly on the organizations Instagram,
Facebook, and blog. This allowed me to be creative and collaborative with the other members of the club.
